We started in the Hamilton/Milton area visiting my brother Colin, and his family, including my new niece who is just a couple weeks younger than Maiya.
We went to the park by their house, and Maiya got to try the swings out for the first time ever. I'm not sure why, I just had never thought of taking her to the park. I think her being old enough and not just a newborn snuck up on me.
We also went to a farm that had apple picking, a petting zoo, and a pumpkin field. We got some pretty cute pictures of Ainsley and Maiya with the pumpkins. What is it about pumpkins that is so cute?
My mom had made matching dresses for the girls.
Maiya and Grandma at Niagara Falls
We went on a walk and saw some awesome waterfalls right near Hamilton. We also played in leaves, because playing in leaves is fun :)
After Hamilton, we went to Ottawa. I got to visit with my good friend Anna and her boy Adriano.
Next we drove to New England... on the way we crossed Lake Champlain on a ferry. Yup that is my girl outside in the cool air without socks. Why because she kicks them off, and apparently it is wrong to duct tape socks to your babies feet. Winter should be fun :)
Em and Andrew dressed Maiya up in Patriot's gear because Tim hates the Patriots.
We also went to a Shaker village. This was very interesting. If you are ever given the opportunity to tour one, do so... they were very interesting people, and I really didn't know anything about them (except they made furniture) before. Also the colors here were beautiful.
Aunt Janice read Maiya a bedtime story. Maiya was as interested as she looks.
And here is a video of Janice reading... the quality isn't great as it was from my phone, but it is so sweet!
Sorry, this has gotten to be a long post, we were gone a long time!!
